Today I woke up at 7 and logged into FB. To my astonishment,
the newsfeed was flooded with tons of ‘Happy Teachers’ Day’ posts and then I
recalled the date and realized that it is the day of our GURUS.
A very Happy Teachers’ Day to all my teachers, mentors and
everyone who in anyway has taught me anything. Teachers have always been very
special and captivating. They are innovative, inspiring, committed, creative, compassionate,
thoughtful, caring, intelligent, persevering, energetic and at last UNIQUE in
their own way. Almost every adjective can ably describe a teacher who passionate
towards his/her work and concerned about his/her students. And my GURUS at DPS
Bhagalpur are no less.
They are the best. It’s not that they are the most
knowledgeable and know everything (indeed they are very knowledgeable, but one
person can’t know each and everything) but what they have is priceless and that
is a vast array of experience. I owe a lot to them.
This is my 7th year at DPS Bhagalpur and in all
these years I came across many teachers and many teachers came across me too. Each
and every teacher has helped me in a way or the other. They have been very supportive.
There are innumerable number of occasions when my gurus made me to give my best
when I was about to give up. They made me to stand up every time I fell.
Be it the time when I was baffled and confused between the
g (acceleration due to gravity) and G(universal constant) in Physics or the
time when QBasic and C++ were eating me
up or the time when I always got the pronunciation of the simple word ‘heart’
wrong(Rahman Sir knows it well!).These are few of the many instances where my
teachers helped and I am really grateful to them. It’s because of them what I
am now.
To my very talented GURUS and MENTORS, I express my
gratitude and wish them a very very very Happy Teachers’ Day.
And to my fellow
students, you could only read this because of your teachers. So, make sure that
you wish your teacher and make them feel special not by your words instead by
your actions.
